And I know this because every industry is oversaturated. (Hell, you've probably scrolled through 10 other designer's sites today on your quest to find ~the one~.)
Luckily, your competition doesn't actually matter. Because contrary to popular belief, your clients don't hire you because of the photos you take, or the content calendar you create, or the haircut you give, or the events you plan, or the, or the, or the.
The truth is, your industry is probably oversaturated.
The real reason your clients hire you is because they want to work with you.
You're ~their kinda person~. And the way you show up in your own corner of the internet fits perfectly in the vision they see for the world.
These are the kinds of creatives & business owners I design brands & ShowIt websites for— the ones who are looking to become so outwardly, singularly, irreplaceably themselves online that all their competitors become irrelevant.
And if that's you, I'm so glad you found…

(And more if you need them!) I start with a ShowIt website template and build custom sections where the template falls short. At the end of the week, you leave with a site that looks fully custom without the fully custom timeline.
I send you a walkthrough video at the end of every day showing what I designed—and you tell me what you love what needs tweaking. You can request as many changes as you want, I just batch them into one round per day so we keep momentum instead of drowning in email threads. (This is how we get a genuinely custom result in a week instead of 3 months!)
(Basically, all the technical stuff you don't wanna deal with.) Your domain gets transferred to your new website, your site gets secured, and I set up foundational SEO—page titles, meta descriptions, and text tags—so that Google understands what you do.
At the end of our time together, you get a custom walkthrough of your specific site—where everything lives, how to update each page, and how ShowIt actually works—so you can confidently change things yourself later without hiring me every time you want to swap a photo or tweak your copy.
(And tbh, that time was invaluable. Because when you've designed from scratch as many times as I have, you learn how to make anything feel custom, whether it started that way or not.)
But I'm going to let you in on something that Big Design doesn’t want you to know: you probably don't need a fully custom ShowIt website. You just need a really good template paired with a designer who cut her teeth on custom.
(And it's funny—I've had both custom and template customizations mixed together in my portfolio for years. Part of me wonders if people gave me the "custom girl" reputation because they assumed everything they were looking at was custom. Half the time, it was a template. They just couldn't tell.)
It wasn't until prospective clients started asking the quiet part out loud on discovery calls—"Wait, why would I pay for custom when a template customization looks just as good and is so much faster?"—that I finally went, huh. You're right. Why would you?
So I re-built my entire creative process around that. The Website Week lets me work with one client at a time, fully immersed in your brand, with a focused timeline that keeps both of us in momentum. Your site launches faster and you start making your money back sooner instead of waiting three months for a designer to push pixels around.
And—I alllllllways build custom sections wherever the template can’t quite keep up. So even though we're starting with a template, most of my sites end up being half-custom anyway. You get the best of both worlds; the speed and structure of a template, with the bespoke details that make it unmistakably you.
the custom girl.
here's how it all goes down
We get on a Zoom and you tell me everything about your business, your story, your audience, your taste, your goals, the version of your business you're growing into—all of it. I ask a lot of questions, you talk, and by the end I have everything I need to make smart creative decisions for the rest of the week.

After you book, I'll set you up with a custom project dashboard in Notion—a beautiful, organized home for all your photos, copy, links, and assets. (If you're the kind of person who gets a little thrill from a well-designed workspace, you're going to love this part.) I'll also send you a curated list of my favorite ShowIt website template shops to help you pick your starting point.
before we begin
I always start with the homepage because it’s where we establish everything—layout, imagery, page structure, navigation, hierarchy, and the whole creative direction. At the end of the day, I send you a video and you send me your thoughts by morning. (And this becomes our rhythm for the rest of the week!)

I always save the About page for last because it’s the page you’re most likely to have a crisis about, and it’s helpful to see how the rest of the site takes shape first 😉. By end of day Friday, your entire site is designed and you can take the weekend to marinate on any final revisions before…
friday
As the week progresses, I work through your core pages—services, contact, blog, portfolio, or whatever we've scoped—customizing layouts, building sections from scratch where needed, and weaving in your copy (or adding copy prompts if you plan to write your copy afterwards.)
wednesday & thursday
You send over any last revision requests and finalize your copy while I hook up your contact forms, embed your email opt-ins, set up your SEO, and make sure every button and link actually goes to the right places.

If you're entering a new era and want your visuals to match, we can add new branding (or a brand refresh) to any website project. Full logo suite, color palette, type system, and brand guide.

Ah yes, my fellow maximalists! We can definitely make that work. Depending on your needs, we can even add extra days to the process.

The power-sprint version for smaller sites, sales pages, or those who want to stay true to a template with minimal layout customization. (The Website Day is also great for actors and performing artists.)

For the rare few who need (or honestly just want) to commission a true start-from-scratch, ground-up build. I take these projects sparingly—only 1 or 2 per year. If that's you, reach out and we'll talk.

I handle the foundational SEO stuff on every site—proper heading structure, SEO-friendly page titles, clean meta descriptions, and proper slugs. Basically, everything your site needs to get indexed cleanly and not work against you. What I don't do is advanced keyword research, SEO copywriting, or long-term SEO strategy, because that's a different skill set entirely.
(That said, I've got a killer referral list if you want someone to handle the deeper SEO stuff before and/or after we work together on your beautiful new website!)
I don't, but you've got 2 options.
1.) You can hire a professional copywriter to write your website copy before we begin—I always love that and I’ve got some amazing copywriter referrals. Start here for the best of the best. OR!
2.) You can DIY your copy with my guidance. I won't write your copy for you, but after 220+ published websites, I also know a thing or two about copy—so I can absolutely help you structure it. As I’m designing, I’ll build sections with placeholder prompts, make suggestions, and guide you on what needs to go where. And once the site is designed, you fill it in. (Most of my clients who are DIY-ing their copy say it's way easier to write it into their design than into a blank Google doc.)
Depends on what you mean by e-commerce! If you're a service provider who also sells digital products, courses, or templates, we can totally set that up—I'll connect checkout pages from Thrivecart, Flodesk Checkout, or whatever other checkout software you use to your ShowIt site.
But if you have a fully product-based business (like, you're selling clothes or candles or skincare with 10+ products), ShowIt isn't the best platform for that—Shopify is! And in that case, I can't help.
Very. I always build custom sections wherever the design calls for it, which means most of my sites end up being essentially half-custom anyway. I treat templates as starting points, not limitations.
Totally doable—we’ll just extend the timeline to accommodate. Same process, just a slightly longer runway.
Sparingly. Because of how much I truly customize website templates, most businesses don't need a from-scratch build (no matter how established you are or how weird your business is). But some people just want that, and I get it. I take 1–2 fully custom projects a year for folks who want to commission something completely ground-up. If that's you, reach out.
You don't need to clear your calendar, but you do need to be responsive. I send you a video walkthrough at the end of each day, and I need your feedback by the next morning so we can keep momentum. This process works because we're both showing up—if you go MIA for two days, the week falls apart.
Yes! At the end of your project, you'll get personalized tutorial videos walking you through your specific site—how to update each page, where everything lives, and how ShowIt works. The goal is for you to feel confident making updates yourself without needing to hire me every time you want to change a sentence.
That said, some people just don't want to do their own updates, and that's fine too! A lot of my clients hire me once or twice a year for refresh days: new sales pages, design updates, seasonal tweaks, whatever you need. Once we've already worked together, you get a discounted day rate to bring me back in.
Templates! Starting with a solid template instead of a blank canvas gives us structure and momentum so I can focus on the identity-driven, creative, custom parts instead of reinventing foundational layouts that already work beautifully.
And honestly, I'm just fast. I've done hundreds of these!
