One thing about me? I am nooooooot very consistent on social media. Despite my best efforts (really, truly!) I’ve never been the kind of business owner to drum up a LOT of leads on social, so when life gets busy in my business, I don’t prioritize it.
Luckily, you don’t have to. As long as you’ve got a great website, there are a LOT of ways to get (tens of thousands of) site views that turn into dream clients and paying customers. In this blog post, I’m walking you through how.
But first…
Site Views Won’t Happen Without a Great Website
The site views you desire simply won’t happen without a great website, bestie. One that keeps people engaged and returning for more—whether it’s more content, more free value, or more offerings. Your website needs to be visually captivating and well-written before any of these tactics are going to work for you, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

4 Ways to Drive Traffic and Get Site Views Without Relying on Social Media
Email Marketing
I know, I know—you’ve heard it before. “Starting an email list is the most important thing you can do for your business!” they said. Well, turns out they were right, because the first year my business hit 6 figures was also the first year I started sending a weekly newsletter, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence. In my newsletter, (sign up here if you want to see for yourself!) I make sure to link back to my website content constantly—while still making the content fun, engaging, and enjoyable to consume.
Start an email list and a weekly newsletter, bestie. It’s worth it, I promise.
Pinterest Marketing
Utilizing Pinterest marketing will largely depend on the type of business you run—it won’t be for everyone. But if you’re in a creative field at all, there’s a good chance that Pinterest could drive lots of traffic for you! You can learn how to do this yourself with a myriad of courses on the internet (and the platform is kinda specific so you definitely want to take some time to learn how). Alternatively, you could hire a Pinterest manager who already knows what they’re doing to manage it all for you. My Pinterest manager is the best!
Blogging and SEO
Blogging isn’t dead, people! Although I go through periods of time where my blogging is not so consistent, the best part about blogging is that once you’ve got a blog out there, it does the work for you for years! The one catch? You gotta put a little bit of time into learning how SEO works.
Speaking of SEO, it’s not just my blog that’s optimized for search results—it’s my whole dang site. Check out Duo Collective to learn about all things SEO.
Referral Partners
Your business is only as strong as your community, and I am so so grateful that I’ve got an amazing one. As a result of this, I am featured on other people’s websites as their “go-to” web designer. (And of course, I return the sentiment to them!)
It wasn’t always like this though—in the beginning of my business, I did not know ANYONE else in my industry. Check out this blog post to learn how I built a community of genuine friends and business partners, and how you can do it too!
Driving Site Views Without Using Social Media
With a little dedication and a long-game attitude, you don’t have to be constantly posting Instagram stories or TikToks to get folks on your website. (And thank god for that, because that can be exhausting.)
If you need someone to come in and optimize your website to work for all these alternative marketing avenues, you know where to find me!
